Where Mother Nature treads, the flowers grow
and vegetation covers all the stains -
the scars Mankind reliably bestows
wherever his desire for power reigns.
The noise, the drive for wealth and pointless tat
has turned our Eden into Hell on Earth.
The mindless greed that we cannot combat
stole all the visions that we had at birth?
And yet the objects that we seek are wraiths,
ephemeral designs of troubled dreams.
Where is the purpose we can all embrace?
Where is the Wisdom that alone redeems?
This weary race, engaged in ceaseless toil,
needs music to entrance our shrivelled soul.
We were not born to desecrate and spoil,
but to free Humanity and make it whole.
