Where No One Cries Poem by Eric Eberhard

Where No One Cries

One eye is red
One eye is blue
They see only opposites
But they both see you

The left can see joy
The right can see pain
Like how you hurt yourself
And dance in the rain

I see how you smile
Brimming with anticipation
For someone to come forth
To accept your invitation

And I see your fear
It won't let you go
To seek them out
To let them know

Because these people are cruel
So dangerous and uncertain
To them you're just a tool
So you stay behind the curtain

Though I can see through your disguise
To me it's transparent and clear
You can't hide from these eyes
They catch every tear

Your heart is consumed
By uncertainty and doubt
Feeling nothing but doomed
It is to you I reach out

All you need do
Is to take my hand
My love won't fall through
Like a sieve full of sand

It's dense and it's strong
Unmoving like concrete
Made to last long
But let's be discreet

It will be just me and you
Together in our dream
In happiness we never knew
Where no one's ever mean

Can you see how much I care
I'm not just being clever
Now come with me if you dare
Where I'll love you forever

Somewhere there is no fear
In a place there are no lies
Where the sky is always clear
Where no one ever cries
