Where's the Love?

Can you not feel His love friend?
My God! Look around you!
Though death's just one second, your life's lasted years!
Has your way been that slighted?
It's choice to be grateful,
But substance is there! Why surrender to fears?

Have you always been hungry,
Or never felt kindness,
The judgment you're giving the one you desire?
You've no feeling for God though
Your heart longs for mercy?
Your last gift to life! Is it hope or your ire?

What's the message you'd leave to
The ones who must follow?
Just death? That's the truth that you want to proclaim?
Isn't faith the best answer
For death's still a question?
You lie if you love what you struggle to name?
