Whereto Love Goes Poem by ELINEL RABARA

Whereto Love Goes

Where doth love go in the long run?
When grass hath grown through years begun.
Doth it sojourn the firmament of thy mem'ries?
Or lilt its ol' melodic rhyme.

Where doth love remain hereafter
When it's bereft of thy breath?
Doth it calm unto the deep ocean
Or remains solus amidst its vale.

Doth it beguile the pain it had?
Enchant in trance another hand?
Doth it whelm in reminiscence of thy face
Amongst the radiant blossoms of the sun.

Enfeebled still mine heart will be
Whithersoever love is it doth remains.
Whereto it goes so must I say?
Enfeebled am I for with thee it stayed.
