While You Were Sleeping Poem by London Love Poems

While You Were Sleeping

Last night whilst
you were sleeping
I cried a little.

My heart raced
as I stroked the softness
of your golden skin.

I lay there listening
to you breathe, as my love
for you thumped
inside of me.

I cried, because
luck has touched me finally.

And brought to me
a soul that blesses
the world, just by caring
so naturally.

I'm in love.

The lord
sent you from
the heavens above.

I'm lost.

In a body
full of tingles, just
by looking at you.

I'm numb.

To any other pain
but losing you.

I'm happy.

To be alive, I just
want to share
your glow with
the world, maybe.

Just to see them
smile as I do, you see.

I've been blessed.

With having
you by my side.

That's why last night
while you
were sleeping, I kissed
you as I cried.

I used to lay there and watch my man sleep. Looking at him sleep and just wondering if he even knew, or had a clue of how much I adored him. That was until I found out what a loser he was. You did a really good job with this. I like the way you display your feelings in story like way almost. You open up with some pretty intense, almost private moments. Nice. DC
