Whisper Poem by robyn nathan

Whisper

She drifts in and out of sleeping and waking

Feeling the warmth of her lover's body next to her

Remaining still,

listening to breath

smelling fragrance of body

On sheets on skin

Floating into the dreaming, then opening eyes to changing skies

Soft reds, mauve... pearl essence

Breathless.

Lover stirs… moving into the softness of her texture

Becoming liquid

The translucent ocean blues and turquoise

She is quietened to the stillness to this awakening the gentleness of dawn

Whisper into the new day

Whisper into the dissolving of body into body

Whisper
