Whispers Of Childhood Poem by ashok jadhav

Whispers Of Childhood

I wandered down the dusty lane
Where sunlight danced on fields of green;
The trees still swayed with gentle grace,
As in the days I'd once been seen.
The river hummed its laughing tune,
Where we would splash with careless glee;
Our voices rang through open skies,
A chorus of our liberty.
The swings still swayed beneath the oak,
The flowers bent as if to play;
The kite strings stretched toward endless blue,
And dreams flew high and drifted away.
I saw the faces of my friends,
Their laughter bright, their hearts so free;
The games, the mischief, the quiet talks,
All etched in memory's tapestry.
Though years have passed and time moved on,
And roads have stretched beyond the glen;
The child within still wanders here,
And calls me back to then again.
For in those moments, pure and bright,
Where wonder lived in every glance;
The soul finds joy, unmarked by care,
And learns once more the world's sweet dance.
