Whispers Of Distant Love Poem by NETESH BOSS

Whispers Of Distant Love

Rating: 5.0

In the evening's calm, I missed her call,
Away from my phone, I didn't catch it at all.
Her message came through, soft in the night,
I replied with care, my heart feeling light.

From smiles to worries, her heart did change,
Breakup talk, yet our bond stayed strange.
Her replies slowed, like a distant star,
I called, but she seemed so far.

'Sorry, ' she said, 'I'm preparing for exams, '
Days passed, like climbing a hill of qualms.
Then her message brightened my night,
'Exams are done, a new love's in sight.'

Her words played a tricky game,
'Do you still love me? ' she asked the same.
'I loved you, ' I whispered, an honest truth,
'Stay true, ' she said, with a hint of proof.

Prove your love, I asked of her,
She sent a picture, her beauty a blur.
Yet I craved her face to see,
And then she sent it, her face to me.

Her hair fell like shadows on her face,
Lips soft and kind, her features with grace.
Eyes like a rabbit, gentle and clear,
Her beauty a dream, always near.

A flower of grace, pure and serene,
Her presence made my heart feel keen.
A love uncertain, a path unknown,
Yet her spirit lingers, never alone

Beautiful. Uncertain love. But, I'll read it as a magnificent ode to love..
