Whispers Of Oxford... Poem by P A Noushad ...

Whispers Of Oxford...

In Oxford's hush where ancient stones still dream,
I walked through halls where thought becomes its flame....
And felt knowledge flow like an endless stream,
Revealing life's most subtle, sacred name....
A quiet power, unseen yet ever near,
That lifts the soul from shadow into light,
And clears the fog of ignorance and fear,
To guide the mind toward truth's eternal height...
There reason spoke where silence once held sway,
And wisdom rose like dawn across the sky,
While superstition slowly slipped away,
Like fading echoes of a distant cry...
The world itself grew wider in that space,
Each thought a star within the boundless whole,
Each moment stitched with time's unyielding grace.....
Each insight carving pathways in the soul...
Yet greater still than Oxford's storied art,
Than books that breathe through centuries long past,
Is teaching, born within the human heart,
A bridge of light that evermore will last...
From distant lands my students came as one,
A living tide of voices, vast and bright..
Each carried forward like a rising sun,
Each one a spark within the greater light...
Their love became the compass of my days...
Their trust the quiet music of my way,
A force that shaped my wandering, hopeful gaze,
And turned my night into an endless day...
It was their grace that opened wide the door,
To Oxford's realm where thought and silence blend,
A memory etched forevermore,
Till time itself dissolves...
