White Dove, White Rabbit Poem by Khalid Gaston

White Dove, White Rabbit

Peace, salvation, fortitude
Death, cursed, solitude
The white dove gets praised for being born
The white rabbit gets scavenged and torn

Light, love, lasting
Lonely, loathesome, lethargic
The white dove gets coddled
The white rabbit gets mottled

Both coated in holy color
Yet one is constantly hung by the collar
