Though I writes poems and sings to piano
I'm known to my world as it is ought to
As a grass cutter is well-known by a farmer
Yet many don't know who the me I'm talking about
Think I have grown and now I really get it
I'm 31, twice or more than have i got lost
Finding my way at the end of Lagos streets
Walking aimlessly alone, asking is just scary
Like that school boy, i used to be before
Still, I chase after the running ice truck
Still, i talk too much and spend times on facebook
Hiding behind the hedge lining someone's path
Still know my mother once shared me her story
The danger of strangers and the biker man
That made her lost one of her toes year ago
When she felt like burning the world down
My father'd always tell me when I was young
Do remember the son of whom you are
But still trying hard to know who am i
Hate to see if I heard him correctly
Here is one thing I keep remembering in it
When everything seems falling all apart
Always know life is a pendulum, going back and forth
And just when you understands yourself
That's when you understand the world
Just then you know whom you are.
