Who Can I Trust? Poem by Peter Strugnell

Who Can I Trust?

Who'll stay to the end?
It seems so unjust,
family and friends?
who can I trust.

Who can rise above?
whose spirit is crushed?
water thicker than blood?
who can I trust.

I'm losing my grip,
spinning in the rush,
who's gonna flip?
and who can I trust.

Who will be there?
stand with the just?
it's as thin as the air,
this feeling of trust.

In silence we scream,
what is happening to us?
we're busting at the seams,
but who can I trust.
