i especially enjoyed the lines:
What Man in the Moon -
What Spirit of the Night -
could make a cricket croon?
or claim the starlight? .........................................let me know if you find the answer!
:) (moon face)
also: And the moon simply grins
from his perch up high.'
i enjoyed seeing the punctuation used in this poem, instead of no punctuation being used at all, or a period or comma or semicolon used at the end of EACH line (no matter what the sentence structure is) , all three i think being habits used by some poets.
that i can not claim to understand this poem does not bother me so much as it bothered me when i read Beautiful Lies and did not understand it. i think it is because this Moon poem seems more of a fantasy, so it could mean most anything. again, i liked the sound of this one, but i liked it a lot better than B. Lies. i always enjoy good rhyming, so i enjoyed these.
and i liked that the question at the end was repeated. thanks for sharing. bri :)
