Who I Am Without You Poem by Lee Glenn

Who I Am Without You

Rating: 5.0

I am the tree that grows all alone
The Queen with no King near my throne
Lonely when you aren't here
Nothing without you near.

Single in this world of pairs
The only truth, and surrounded by dares
A lioness whose lost all its pride
So alone when you're not at my side.

The only branch mixed in with the trees
Just a flower swaying in the breeze
Deaf in a world full of sound
Worthless without you around.

One wren in a bevy of doves
Pain, surrounded by love
Imprisoned, while the rest are all free
Praying that you'll come back to me.

The sad one, alone in the crowd
Quiet, while the rest are loud
A candle that can no longer burn
I am empty...until you return.
