Who Knows Poem by Rose Nagle

Who Knows

Who knows the future what it holds for me.
Who knows the secret that's inside of me.
When nights are long and filled with empty dreams.
There's one who knows; He comes to comfort me.
He knows the secret longings of my soul,
He hears the sentiments I dare unfold.
He whispers gently "Peace your heart be still
Till I return your longings to fulfill."
He comes again and eases all my pain,
And, with one word, all things are right again.
To rest secure my tears no more to hide,
Against His breast I ever will abide.
