Who’ll Accept

Eternal life is not absurd
Escaping death and hell
Through the power of God’s true word
The bible has to tell

But who’ll accept the truth at hand?
Who’ll believe God’s Christ?
Who’ll take time to understand?
The Lamb God sacrificed

How much instead we love the tongue
Of he who tells us lies
Though singing songs the devil’s sung
Will see us die like flies

How sweet he spreads each cunning scheme
With thoughts he’d feed our mind
He’d keep us from Salvation’s stream
To keep from Jesus blind

For Jesus is the only way
To flee the coming wrath
The only hope to flee decay
Is walking Jesus’ path

The strongest fall the richest fail
The wise behave like fools
We all have sampled Satan’s jail
Breaking our Father’s rules

But Truth that comes from God alone
Power that cannot die
Can melt the hardest hearts of stone
And pave the way on high

Allow God‘s Light to shine within
Accept God’s Son as King
Allow God’s Fire burn your sin
Beneath Christ’s healing wing
