Who’ll Rule The Earth

God bids the sun direct the light
God bids the moon to glow
He bids the stars come out at night
To show where ships should go

The rain but falls at God’s command
So many birds take wing
Such miracles of Jesus’ hand
Can make the angels sing

Who can deny these things are true?
Who can deny God’s might?
Who can survey the morning dew?
Discovering no delight

Blessed is the mind these things believe
Blessed are the eyes that see
Blessed is the heart the truth receive
That sets completely free

It can’t be sold it can’t be bought
In darkness always lost
But who accept the true report
It comes quite free of cost

Wisdom is God’s to give and take
Knowledge is His alone
Gratis to souls in Christ awake
To mortal flesh and bone

Worldly wisdom will one day fade
Knowledge of man will die
The starry host will soon cascade
But not who dwells on high

Who sees The Lamb who sees the cross
Accepts the virgin birth
Who gives of self to suffer loss
Will live to rule the earth
