Who Me Poem by ktarcus ...

Who Me

I see you but hear nothing for i helped to set you free,
then you fell under the despots hand you were born of tyrany.

Yes i welcome you to this fair land and all i have to give
but please dont take the mickey as you find the will to live,
there are those who say we owe you,
every thing to make a life,
new furniture,
new housing,
if you ask for her, a wife,

yet these people who will champion you are the political brigade
they sup only evian water vote always for fair trade.

Unlike the common man of the street,
who has struggled day by day,
they were born with a silver spoon in the mouth,
as daddy was away.

It's funny now most families turned that way to pay the rent,
as many of the new generation are born by one parent,
Still, keep your chin up johnny,
together we'll pull through
cos we've been and done of most things
you know what you can do!

Mind you though the rules and regs
to help you on the way
there is much you are allowed to do
yet nothing you may say
for the law has changed quite drastically
getting worse with every minute,
no trying to complain of it as you are already in it
no smoking in your place of work no angry verbs in spite
no matter what they may have done your new neighbours always right
no conflict in the factory
no argueing at the table
no words of mediocracy as all are judged as able
no claims that our democracy is dead and about to finish
no pride in your own country sometimes its hard to say your British.
