Whose Room Is This? Poem by Kevin Gabriel Capablanca

Whose Room Is This?

Whose room is this?
I wonder whose room is this.
I opened my eyes earlier
the light was on above me.

I'm lying on a bed with a pillow
the bed and the pillow
which we used to share.
But, whose room is this?

I can't feel your embrace,
can't smell the scent of your hair,
can't see your face
and your lips that I used to kiss.

Am I lost in disgrace?

Ah! I'll just turn off the light,
close my eyes,
sleep
and leave my worries behind.

For I know
tomorrow,
you'll be here to wake me up
with the warmth of your kiss
just like what you've promised.
