Why smile when it’s easier to cry?
Resonating silence in reply
Why laugh when I feel like screaming?
Impossible to douse this yearning
Why try to be accepted when all I want is to be alone?
Cutting skin and flesh to see bone
Why believe when I can only doubt?
Why can’t anyone tell me what life is about?
Why love when no-one loves me back?
Lost in a world of black
My whole life’s in disarray
Why feel pain when I can make it go away? !
