Why? Poem by Paula Hodges

Why?

Rating: 5.0

I Love you mom, I wanted you to know;
It was not time for you to go.

You took your life on that October day;
Why did you want to go away?

When you left me to be with the Lord;
I cried so hard, till I could cry no more.

No one knew the trouble you felt;
Until it was too late, your fate had been dealt.

It's been 25 years since the day you left;
The one true void, I will never forget.

Now I have children of my own;
Why did you leave me all alone?

Although your gone and we are apart;
Mom, you'll always be in the depths of my heart.

How tragic! But I thought you took the right approach and that's a good message for all of us. GW62
