Why? Poem by Sami Woodall

Why?

Why don't you like me?
Why don't you love me?
Is it because I'm getting fat?
Is it because you think I'm ugly?

Why won't you look at me?
Why not even glance?
It's time to accept responsibility,
this is your chance.

Why do you act like I'm just a shadow,
when we're at school,
Why do you have to be so mean,
why so cruel?

Remember, this is your baby too,
not just mine,
like I said, you need to accept that,
and nows the time.

Why not dropp the act,
and take your place,
why don't you act like a father,
for our child's sake?
