Why? - Poem by Jesus Castorena
Why can't the world be nice?
We see things like the three blind mice
Always searching for who we truly are
The search being fruitless so far
Why can't we tell between love and lust?
Between a couple there is no trust
We are always searching for the right one
So we can live a life of fun
Why can't we live life free?
Sailing on life's rough se
Always overcoming all the waves
Watching and waiting for that big one
That will weigh a ton
And destroy our boat
With wave after wave crashing on your head
Not letting you stay afloat
You hang onto your life by the thread
Darkness is closing aound you
No one can save your life
You know what's true
That fighting to stay alive will be your last strife
