I do not believe in a deity,
I do not believe in god.
I do not care if I offend you,
Excuse me if this seems odd.
Preach to me;
Go on, I dare you.
I'll take your religion, your beliefs,
and prove they are untrue.
'Religion is the opium of the people, '
Groucho Marx once said.
It couldn't be truer now;
Religion has made many dead.
Many crimes have been committed
For a deity who doesn’t exist.
The Crusades, Muslim Conquests;
These are what the religions subsist.
Witches have burned,
Warlocks beheaded,
Atheists murdered,
Different races enslaved.
All in the name of a god.
Life is but a gentle breeze,
Stopped by the simplest obstruction.
Religion seems to push the breeze,
But it really causes destruction.
Death, Destruction, darkness.
All three follow religion
Like The Plague.
“God” only knows when it will end.
Ironic, is it not,
How most religions preach tolerance,
But how many practice it?
