why when the sky goes gray
do our emotions fade away

when the wind blows
laughter never follows

how come when feelings show
we always let them go

why can't we stand tall
instead face the same fall

why not take our own path
then follow another
this is no laugh
but still come together

roses grow old and die
birds no longer roam the sky
and sad people cry

all those things that hurt us most
we keep inside and do not post

but it's important to show
and let others know

or you will hurt those waiting
for someone or something

you mean more to me then you think
more then i could write down in ink

but you must know by now
that no matter how

you did something bad
hurt someone or made them mad

you are special and
i love you for being who you are
and wish you'd share more,
rather then stand afar
