Art is a direct expression of our world,
a head-on reflection of man's spiritual vision.
It concerns beauty and the ancient Greeks
already stressed that beauty involves
moral goodness.
This insight about the intrinsic bond
that exists between beauty
and proper ethical conduct
is still valid. It endows art in various ways
with a significance that exceeds, for example,
the importance of economics.
