Why Do I Love You? Poem by Brodie Montgomery

Why Do I Love You?

You told me that you loved me,
You said 'I always will',
But when it came down to it,
You'd rather pop a pill.

So when i needed space,
To sort out all our mess,
You took it as goodbye,
You took it like the best.

Then you turned arrogant,
And you became stuck up,
For a reason unbeknown to me,
I still wish us luck.

I love you to this very day,
I still don't really know why,
For all that you have put me through,
You've left my heart to die.

So why do i continue,
To want you in my life,
When i know you'd rather,
Smoke ganga from a pipe.

I'm letting you invade my heart,
Like only you could do.
For you are also on my mind,
Creating tension too.

I know that you are over,
This 'thing' that we did share,
I felt you slip away from me,
I know that you don't care.
