Why Does It Have To Be You Poem by Marilyn White

Why Does It Have To Be You

When I need some one there
I turn around and there you are
Sadness was something I knew
By heart then it was just expression
But when I get blue you always seem
To make me laugh out loud
When I think of your sarcasm
The sunshine in your voice
Even though you are depressed
You make me wonder why you even fade
Behind the dark clouds that hides your smile
You paint a picture that is not you
But I seem to see you in a different light
I take away all the bad that you have done
All the pain you have caused every one
And I look in your heart and what it is made of
That is something that makes you truly beautiful
I am glad to have met you and cared for you
If only I got to know you better
Then just maybe I wouldn’t think of you
