somewhere along this road i lost all my hope for love
and in a way it feels as though i'll be flying like a lonesome dove


as i fly across this valley of hidden shadows and broken hearts
i shed all my tears for the souls lost in the dark


so cried an ocean of tears until i seen the land that i could kiss
although love is something that i cherish its love that i really miss


so if i cant find a love that true and here to stay
i dont wanna be a lonesome dove so just take my wings away
