Why Is It? - Poem by Correina MacRae

Why is it that you hate me
so much as you do?
How come you don’t even
try to see the friend that
I could be to you?
You don’t even know who I am
Yet you judge and then decide.
But yet from you just looking
at me can you honestly, fully
make up your mind?
Why do you feel you have to inflict
pain, to get your point across?
Why do you feel superior
When you make someone else
feel small?
You think you do but you don’t
know me,
I’m not who you think I am
I realize that looks are deceiving
so why this concept can you
not understand?
You play innocence so well
yet your as evil as they come
you torment and deceive
all the “weaker” ones
But yet you think your kind
And feel you have the right
to manipulate people’s minds.
You use the saying “God will punish
those who are bad”.
Well if this is true, then I feel bad for you
because he will crush your soul to sand.
