Why do you ignore my cries in the middle of the night?
How can you ignore my screams when everything is bright?
It’s all a lie you see...
You don’t love me...
You blame it on me when it gets too rough
It’s not my fault that life’s so tough
It’s not my fault you see...
Please don’t blame me...
You point out my mistakes when you have more of your own
I wonder when your heart really formed into stone
It’s all a lie you see...
You don’t love me...
You always told me to harden up and not to cry
So what are those things swimming out your eye?

When my heart is broken and I can barely breathe
Why is the only thing you do is seethe?
