Why Not We? Poem by Nikhil chandak

The day is passing like a wind,
And we stand still like a tree.
The cloud comes and bring some rain,
But we keep on watching just in vain.
We get proud calling out ancestor heroes of yesterday,
But have no same in being the zeros of today.
We just want the bed of roses,
but often ignore the thorn it poses.
We talk about conquering the land and the ocean,
But even fail to bring small revolution.
Why are we gone so lazy and lean,
And expect other to do every thing.
We call human superior among all being,
But fail to distinguish our-self
Even from non living thing.
Its our world, Its our time,
Let us wake up and let us shine.
Lets make our soldier bold and tight,
So that we can make our future bright.
And when we grow up or even we die,
Our children can remember us
With joy and pride...
