Why Pink? Poem by Brittany Sczech

Why Pink?

Pink is as soft as rose petals
or a newborn baby's skin

Pink is the taste of strawberries and sugar
what a delightful sin

Pink is the feeling of warmth
or the blush in your cheeks

Pink is the color of clouds at sunset
and warm sand beneath your feet

The smell of bubblegum and cotton candy
is pink

Love and laughter and beautiful music
make you feel pink

Hearts at valentines
and flowers in the Spring

Pink is a color of happiness
and so many wonderful things

Princesses and flamingos
and elephants on parade

Pink brings back my childhood
those memories will never fade

Family and love and memories
together they all link

to the true reason why
my favorite color is Pink

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This really is my favorite color. People always ask me, 'why do you love pink so much? ' and I never really had an answer until now. Enjoy.

I like this poem. It is interesting how we see things in colours.
