Wild Cats Poem by Nellie Isabelle Steward Cooper

Wild Cats

Wild Cats.....wild cats.....wild cats.....! ! ! .....

There's a cat on the corner, a cat on the corner, a cat on the corner every nite and every day, every nite and every day - that's where he likes to stay

He is a people cat but tis also a wild cat.....he comes to sniff the air there - comes to sniff the air there - comes as he lives near there

A people cat has left his home and went on a liddle roam - he does not want to be alone

Now there's two cats on the corner, two cats on the corner, two cats on the corner every nite and every day - that's where they like to stay - every nite and every day

They are the wild cats, the wild cats, the wild cats... they like to stay there..... the cats on the corner

Then another people cat came over and shouted... hey look at me and tell me what you see, tell me what you see, tell me what you see

Now there are three wild cats on the corner, on the corner, on the corner.....

Then many people cats came over to our cozy liddle street where we like to meet n greet... and sometimes shuffle feet

You can bring along a chair there and then you will have a seat..where we like to meet...on our cozy liddle street

Wild cats on the corner, wild cats on the corner, wild cats on the corner.

We are also people cats, people cats, people cats....

Wild cats on the corner, on the corner, on the corner... that's where we like to stay
