Will My Purpose Be Attained? Poem by Saarthak Haldar

Will My Purpose Be Attained?

Rating: 5.0

Someday, my time will come
Journey of life will reach it's final destination
As persistent blows of time will have weakened my body
So, as with time's final gust
Frail body of mine will be demolished into the dust
The cage for the soul will be decayed and destroyed
Toward unventured sky of that divine realm, my life's bird will fly
And with that immense source of enlightenment above there, it will be unified
From the land of mortals, by almost everyone, my existence will be forgotten
A hope, only scarcely remembered, the words I have written
May be someone, in some corner of this huge world
Will be inspired or touched by my written words
Known by me, empire of my fame will not be built
But perhaps existence of mine will not be erased up to the hilt
As with my words, till the eternity, I just want to mend the broken, heal who are in pain
If I succeed, in this land of mortals, my purpose will be attained
And eternal peace my soul will find
With that peace, my soul will, with supreme power, reunite
As I, a lost, separated drop from that inexhaustible ocean of divine peace and enlightenment
With him, my soul will be again entwined.
