Will To Live Poem by Smritee Mdhr

Will To Live

I hope to have hope
Will to live
I hope to have hope
Will to live
For I see nothing…
Nothing reasonable to live
Nothing reasonable to hope
Thinking deeply,
What to do after death?
I wonder this so much,
That I refuse to die.
At least there's something
Something to do when I live
Something to hope for when I live
After dying, what would I do?
I wonder this so much,
That I refuse to die.
Would I loiter around aimlessly?
Would I just be a transparent soul?
Would I remember what I did before?
What I was before?
Would I be the same as I was when breathing?
I question myself persistently
I wonder relentlessly.
Then, stumble upon the answer
Nothing.
There's no meaning after death
There's nothing to do after death
It's all dull after death
So,
I hope to have hope
Will to live.
