Williams St. Poem by Hunter Skye

Williams St.

On The Corner of Williams St.
times are changing through every heart beat
An unsettling sound ringing in my left ear
Lock all of the doors and dry up all the tears

Grabbing onto strains of light,
Underneath the water its hard to know what's right
A man asked me 'Could you spare a dime?
I need it for my daughter, i don't have much time.'

Bare tires on a gravel road
I swerve into the ocean floor
Everything is black, Im having a panic attack
[: I need to find the surface but I can't go back: ] x2

From underneath the water I look above
I see an aircraft flying looks like a bug
Though its complicated when they're speaking to me
Cut all the wires and she'll be set free

On the corner of Williams St.
Shadows of giant mosquitos are following me
But its 4: 27 so I'm their best bet
Ive got to pick up my eyelids and find my way to bed

On the corner of Williams St.
Owls are howling its so obscene
But the children are playing underneath the waves
[: Letting fate take its toll on innocent names: ] x2
