Windbags Poem by Stefan Splawinski

Windbags

sarcophagus of public accountability
peoples chamber in the past tense
impregnable bastion of nincompoopery
slaughterhouse of plain common sense

sheltered workshop for the lucky few
removed from the exigencies of life
index linked security for evermore
uncertainty replaced by verbal strife
