Window Blinds Poem by Ndaitchkan Cahlleahaand

Window Blinds

Rating: 5.0

Window blinds block vision of the world.
Breeze moves it slightly to let light enter.
Stepped over lives have been twirled
Into something more important, stage center.
Vision still blocked, I try to understand
The feelings of the curtain that stands
At the top of the alter at the command,
Leading our group, but we aren't a clan
At some point, can't see family and friends,
The sun is not seen, the set leads to dark.
Is this the finish, the happy ending, the end?
Is this the beginning, the birth, the start?
Our people are all different, but all the same.
Welcome to America, home of the brave.
