Winds Of Change

Like thieves in the night, they came
Unexpected, overwhelming
Too much to handle, too stunned to react
Stubborn as a mule, I protested
Unwarranted, uncalled-for
Bemoaning the disruption between time
The light of reason dawns, purposeful
Infinite possibilities abound
With cautious optimism, I soldier on
