Wing-Ding Poem by BASAB CHAUDHURI

Wing-Ding

A visual entertainment
In the winter morning.
Green, pink, golden,
Yellow, orange, violet,
Purple, red, white -
Mind-boggling combinations
That only nature could identify,
And bring into being.

A hue of dew-soaked colors
Bathing a multitude of eyes.

Thereupon, the party
A natural cocktail.
As temperatures soar,
Bees dance in nectar.

A spectacular show
Silent under the sky.

And I ponder,
Nectar cheers
In a manner
More civilized
Than wine.
