Wings Poem by Nightshade Starlight

Wings

Apon the wide sparkling river
Sat a girl with eyes of silver.
She had a white shinning dress
That made her look more than less.
Her beauty was golden
Many thought it was stolen.
She smiled warm and brightly
Some thought this was suspicious slightly.
She came from no where
In a fierce storm very rare.
Then one day came a man
With lies that ran.
He accused the girl of her ways
And said that it was the end of her days.
She was a sorceress in disguise.
That all she said were lies.
Yet as they pursued after her,
It was all just a lure.
She smiled at them as the man came forward
He came with a sword.
In an instant, wings of beauty was behind her
And everyone was lured.
In a golden flash she was gone.
Angels can't stay for long.
Behind she left her mark
On a trees bark
Was the shape of wings
Many paid to see, even kings,
This golden girl of light
Was gone in the night.
