Winston And His Wife Poem by Bret Welch

Winston And His Wife

My new neighbors are
Quite a weird couple.
Black and Irish mix
To make a very strange combination.
His wife I've never actually seen.
Her voice, though, always
Obnoxious and shrill.
When we entertain guests,
They take pictures of us,
Flashes from their dark windows.
Paranoia haunts my mind. Their eyes watch
My every move.
Poor, poor Winston and his Wife.
They have not a thing to do but
Stalk us from
Somber shadows and darkness.
