Winter Poem by Martin Carey

Winter

The water and the shine of it,
The sparkle and the glit of it,
The crackle and the snap of it,
The dazzle and the flash of it,
The white, the white and brittle pure,
Unkissed before the grey decline,
Till nothing sparks but darkened pools,
A dropp of tears upon the ground.
