Winter Poem by Resurreccion Banzon Aspiras

Winter

Rating: 5.0

Raindrops falling on a winter night...
Tip, tap...tip, tap...
Feeling the silence, the peace and the cool breeze...
And the love of one's warm embrace.
Alas, winter is here...
Retreating into a nocturnal resting place...
The long nights awaiting, dreaming into the world of never ending grace.
Suddenly, the break of dawn is coming like an aurora...
Spreading colours of sunlight...
Everything around is bright with the sun's radiance full light.
The earth is covered with snow, white and pale...
Sleet falling...
Children merrymaking in beguiling fun and laughter.
The slides, the noises, snowballs splattering all around...
Ringing into your ears, like the songs of Christmas carolling into the air.
With the sight and sound of an Infant born shown by intense light...
Awaiting the joys and happiness of Christmas day...
In the biting cold of winter.
