Winter Poem by imani calloway

Winter

Rating: 3.5

The fall is gone it's winter time
and bells and gongs will ring and chime
a time for family, and for cold
and snowball fights that don't get old
you feel the chilled winter whisper
and you feel it getting brisker
snowflakes fall, each one is different
and blankets of snow fall in the distance
children will make snow angels soon
and barren trees will seem to loom
when winter enters, all will be silent
the once pleasant trees will lose their vibrance
and icicles form and winter is here
and layers of snow will start to tier
the winter holidays soon arrive
ideas for gifts, mothers will contrive
and in the cold you feel you're freezing
and wonder why you're coughing and sneezing
the world will stop in slumbrous state
and summertime, it will await
