Winter Night Poem by Vasanth Karnan

Winter Night

The light, of the waning moon,
Shimmering through the window shades,
Rustling in the cold winter breeze.

The call of darkness, pulls the soul,
To marvel at the silent whispers,
Of the wind through the trees.

The cold, prickling on the skin,
Shivers running through the spine,
Teeth tattering to find some heat.

The sounds,
Of the night owl hooting,
Of the bat wing flapping,
Of crickets moving
Through The dew drenched grass.

The soul drifts through,
A hypnotic dazed amazement,
Finding heaven on earth,
The sounds of the winter night..
