Winter’s Changeling Poem by Cheryl McDonnell

Winter’s Changeling

She’s seen the leaves filter from trees
Knowing the lure of the seasons
Passing cars all with reasons
Raindrops & tears join as one
Here the hiss of winter come
Freezing carpets cover Earth
Paw prints in snow from cats refusing to slow
Not all is frozen if you remember the time of the crocus
Winter froze all but those who chose
This change comes & goes.
