Winter's Night
A winter's cold night
An amazingly pretty sight
In the sky hung a single shining star
Against a sky as black as tar
The night's beasts prowling through the dark
Stalking its prey, just like a shark
The soft songs of the wind, whispering through the grass
Making it sound like instruments from the brass
While mysterious creatures with wings fly by
The moon waits patiently, there, in the sky
Erasing memories of what has been done,
At the same time, waiting for the return of the sun.
A winter's dark night
Slowly, turning light.
