Winter Vii Poem by Scott Ransopher

Winter Vii

The majority of winter is bitterly cold.
He would not go out without a jacket, never!
The world looks new and not too old.
You are installed with awe at the beauty of the frozen river.

The untouched snow that falls looks like one sheet of ice.
In the winter there are many different things to do.
Sledding in the winter will certainly suffice.
Everyone is not on a winter day, along with him too.

All the windows seen are covered with frost.
To see this frost is so much fun.
Snowballs are what is usually tossed.
When the sun goes down, they stop, they are done.

As he sits by the fireplace at night and stares at the burning embers,
He thinks of all the wonderful things that he will surely remember.
